AUTUMN MEETING 2026
28th SEPTEMBER NUNEATON GOLF CLUB
The Autumn Golf Tournament and Annual General Meeting of the Society will be held in 2026 at Nuneaton Golf Club. This is the home club of George Whitehead our 2026 captain. The tournament will be followed by dinner and the AGM. The agenda will be published and accounts for year ending 31st December 2025 made available on the website in due course.
Unfortunately we are unable to have a Shotgun Start competition at Nuneaton Golf Club and so we will be having a staggered start with the first tee time at mid-day. To reduce the time that members will have to wait in the bar following their round there will be two sittings for the meal. Depending on the number of members taking part the timings may vary but the initial expectation for the first sitting will be at 5.30. The AGM will follow at 6.30 by which time it is expected that all players will be in the bar. The second sitting will be at 7.00.
The form will provide an option to select the first or second sitting. Places in each sitting will be allocated on a first booked (& paid), first served basis. You will be notified of your tee time after receipt of your booking. The Start Sheet will be available under the Home Page pulldown menu of the website. The competition format will be, as usual, played in better-ball pairs.
We are able to accommodate 60 players. The entry is £80 per pair. For pairs including Nuneaton members the cost will reduce by £10 per Nuneaton member. This cost covers a bacon roll and coffee before the golf, dinner, prizes and a donation to the host club. Bacon rolls will be available from 11 o'clock onwards.
Members may invite a guest to play as their partner. The guest must be the captain or a past captain of one of the member clubs of WGC.
